![]() Easily one of the most frustrating things in the game that I hope gets re-worked if not taken out. It doesn't help things that the the dispenser looks like every other workbench except for the fact that it doesn't get "worked" like other benches and has the weird hopper mechanic going on as well, with zero explanation as to how it all is supposed to work, because after building one first time, without any other info, your pawn is going to eat out of the hopper intead of making a paste meal, and that doesn't make sense, and easily looks like a broken aspect of the game. Now i know how to feed bed ridden pawns, my game has been going for a fair while and ive fed prisoners and patients a million times. I thought nutrient dispenser was supposed to make feeding your pawns easier? It's a pain in the ass compared to just regular cooking, with none of the potential morale boost / portability. It's just easier to just make simple meals or steaks and keep a cold room to even mess with the stupid nutrient dispenser. Maybe even a second research that allows you to gain a buff. Give a research type that allows us to negate the gross debuff. Decrease the nutrition needed for a complete meal even further. This paste can be used to feed your colonists or animals. Make the paste dispenser smaller (2x2 or 3x1) and cheaper (50 steel, 1 component). In Rimworld, the Nutrient Paste Dispenser Freezer is a machine that produces nutrient paste. Getting enough plants to make enough kibble could be a problem. I also play on a map where I can grow plants for just 30 days per year. I'm playing with a mod that allows me to produce and stockpile nutrient paste, I'm feeding my animals with it and my muffalos multiply really fast what cost me so much food. I love using paste when I want to focus on research and building. Make a stack or two of paste before hand is useful for super hungry pawns, traveling, solar flare or any emergencies. To prevent them from doing that, dont allow them to enter the fridge. What happens if you do forbid the corn, but the corn runs out? The next corn to land in the hopper will not be forbidden, and the dumb colonist will eat the corn instead of making paste. Rimworld Nutrient Paste Dispenser Freezer. Just wanna know what will cost less food. Originally posted by Darlordvader: so build the paste dispenser and the hopper, provide it with power, set the setting for human meat only, have a dead body and just wait Oh sorry, youll have to butcher the dead body at a butchering table, just select 'allow all' in the settings on butcher. When colonists are very hungry, they will try to consume raw food instead. Currently you have to babysit the machine to make sure the corn or whatever it is that gets stuck in is forbidden. ![]() I figured out how nutrient dispensers work, which is not intuitive at all and probably should be reworked.
